Mike Bossy, full name, Michael Dean Bossy, one of hockey’s most prolific goal-scorers and a star for the New York Islanders who have played his entire National Hockey League career for the team has been reported dead.

Mike is said to have passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the age of 65 after battling lung cancer.

The sad news was confirmed by the Islanders and TVA Sports, the French-language network in Canada where he worked as a hockey analyst.

He was married to Lucie Bossy and has two children with his wife, namely Josiane Bossy and Tanya Bossy.

Mike was from a family of 10 siblings and happens to be the fifth son among the 10 children of his parents.
